3 arrested for thefts at Tower Square parking garage

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) –  Holyoke Police arrested three people for allegedly breaking into coin boxes in the Tower Square Parking Garage in Springfield.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney told 22News the three suspects were driving a 2011 Toyota Rav 4 and found that the license plate was registered to a Holyoke address.

Officers notified Holyoke Police Department to be-on-the-look-out for the suspects, 25-year-old Naydimar Alvarez, 36-year-old Roman Fontanez, and 33-year-old Wilson Serrano. All three are from Holyoke, Delaney said.

Holyoke Police spotted the suspects in their Toyota and pulled them over. Springfield Police Officers positively identified the three suspects from their clothing and car from the video they saw, Delaney said.

All three were arrested and stolen money from Tower Square was recovered, along with tools used to break into the depository, Delaney said.

All three were charged with:

  • Break into depository
  • Burglarious instruments
  • Receiving stolen property
