WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Some Comcast cable customers had to deal with a service outage Tuesday morning.

22News has received multiple reports from viewers in Westfield, Agawam, Holyoke, and South Hadley about an outage affecting their service.

The problem appears to be a localized issue. Down Detector, a website that tracks cable outages, shows Comcast outage reports only in western Massachusetts and in the San Francisco Bay area.

Comcast spokesperson Nicole Boudreau released the following statement to 22News:

“We experienced a temporary outage this morning that impacted some of our services in Western Massachusetts.  The services are fully repaired and we apologize to any customers who were affected during this time.  We are working to understand the root cause to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.”
