Husband & wife armed robbery suspects arrested in Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Police arrested a husband and wife Tuesday in connection with two armed robberies at the same convenience store.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News Detectives and uniformed officers served two arrest warrants at 24 Willwood Street Tuesday morning at 11:25.

Police arrested 36-year-old John Martino, and his 35-year-old wife Colleen Martino, accusing them of robbing the Quik Pick Store at 542 Chicopee Street on October 30th and again on November 8th. Surveillance photos showed the suspects were armed with a knife.

John Martino was charged with two counts of Armed Robbery. Colleen Martino was charged with one count of Armed Robbery, and being an accessory. Both were being held on $10,000 bail.

Officer Wilk thanked media outlets for sharing photos which helped generate tips and identify the suspects, ultimately resulting in officers making these arrests.
