Mass Pike Westbound reopened in Ludlow, crash cleared

No word on the extent of injuries

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – State Police said a two-car crash on the Mass Pike westbound in Ludlow caused both lanes of the turnpike to close temporarily.

State Police said both lanes have since reopened, though drivers may experience residual traffic.

State Police Trooper Glenn Witaszek told 22News the cars crashed around the 55-mile marker near the Chapin Street overpass. That is just before Exit 7.

Witaszek said there were injuries in the crash, but there is no word at this time on the extent of those injuries.
