Greenfield Police are looking for injured cat’s owner

The all black cat was hit by a car and has a broken leg

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Greenfield Police have posted a photo of an injured cat in hopes that its owner will come forward to claim it and take over its care.

According to a post on the Greenfield Police Facebook page, police were called to the area of 22 High Street on Monday for a report of a cat hit by a car.

The all black cat has a broken leg and was brought to Brookside Animal Hospital for treatment. “The cat seems otherwise healthy, but is not able to be identified,” Greenfield Police said.

The injured cat is a neutered male, estimated to be about 6 or 7 years old.  It is jet black with green eyes.

Police want to find the cats family in order to move forward with medical treatment.
