BOSTON (WWLP) – Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey said there’s been an uptick in calls alleging discrimination since Election Day. She said this is happening nationally and here in Massachusetts.

The Attorney General’s office is setting up a hotline where you can report incidents of bias-motivated threats and intimidation against immigrants, minorities, women and the LGBTQ community. Healey said public outcry and protests are normal after a presidential election no matter the outcome.

Although she wouldn’t speak to any specific incidents in Massachusetts, Healey urged people to report potential threats so her office can investigate and take appropriate action. “There has been a divisiveness throughout this election,” She said. “And I think you see actions and conduct in the wake of that.”

If you need to call the Attorney General’s Hotline, the number is 1-800-994-3228.
