(WESH/CNN) – Chilling new body camera video was released Thursday night, detailing the aftermath of the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

In the video you can see scattered papers and fluids littering Pulse nightclub. Authorities enter wearing latex gloves to protect against splattered blood.

Hours after the hideous attack, deputies inside drew their weapons to make sure the area was clear. Walking through the club, there were remnants of the Latin culture night celebration. The disco lights were still spinning, and the victims phones were continually ringing.

Friends and family, like Christine Leinonen, are see speaking to officers, hoping their love ones survived. Unfortunately, hours later, Leinonen learned her son was among the dead.

As you watch the video above, you’ll see it was a scene unlike anything the officers had ever seen.
