Anti-Trump protests continue

Widespread protests continue following President-elect Trump's first visit to the White House.

(NBC News) Donald Trump on Thursday callled his first day in Washington, D.C. “fantastic”.

After a meeting at the White House with President Barack Obama, Trump opened the door to seek the president’s counsel in the future.

That respect was echoed by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

“It sounds like the meeting might’ve been at least a little less awkward than some might have expected,” Earnest said.

The president-elect went on to tour the spot where he will be inaugurated with House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, avoiding protesters at every step.

Those protests continued in cities across the united for a third straight night.
