AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A moose got quite a bit of attention in the area of the School Street Park in Agawam on Wednesday afternoon.
Agawam and environmental police were on hand in an effort to prevent the moose from wandering onto Route 57. Ultimately, the bull moose crossed River Road and then went into the Connecticut River.
Later that same night, a moose- believed to be the same animal- was tranquilized after being seen on Lowell Street in Springfield’s Brightwood neighborhood. He was taken to Westfield, where he was released back into the wild.
22News viewer Dorothea Labosco sent 22News this video of the moose while it was in Agawam.
