Pet of the Week: Scooter the dog

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – In this edition of Pet of the Week, we were introduced to Scooter, a 3-year-old Hound Mix dog. Lee Chambers, Manager of Marketing and Communications for Dakin Humane Society, told us all about Scooter and about other events going on at Dakin.

Scooter is a very sweet-natured 3 year old hound mix dog. He’s very shy and people should approach him slowly and calmly until he gets to know them. He likes other dogs, but we don’t know his background with cats. If you have a kitty already at home and are interested in Scooter, please ask our staff to check on how he interacts with felines. Scooter is house trained and would be an ideal first dog for someone without canine experience, he makes it that easy for you! He loves a good walk, and would require minimum training to adapt to any new home. Come see this lovely fellow at Dakin’s Springfield Adoption & Education Center.
