SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts Environmental Police had to catch and relocate a wandering moose in Springfield Wednesday.

Springfield Police Capt. Brian Keenan told 22News the moose was at 101 Lowell Street around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night. He said Environmental Police tranquilized the moose behind 68 Lowell Street and later released it in Westfield.

Police said they believe this moose was the same one seen near School Street Park in Agawam Wednesday.
