SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Many polling locations across the state opened at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Voters will have until 8:00 p.m. to cast their votes. No matter what time you head to the polls, there are a few things you can do beforehand.

The state’s voting website allows voters to enter their address to find their polling location.

Voters can also take a look at what the ballot will look like in their city or town before going into the booths. There is an option to print out a mock ballot where you can fill in the candidates you are voting for and take it to the polls with you.

The two presidential candidates aren’t the only ones on the ballots. Locally, there are multiple races happening — from candidates running for Congress to candidates running for county sheriff. All of these candidates can be viewed by looking at your sample ballot using the link above.

In addition to candidates, voters will also have a say on four statewide issues. These issues include adding a slots parlor, the expansion of charter schools, treatment of farm animals and the legalization of marijuana.
