Senator Stanley Rosenberg re-elected

Rosenberg has represented the district since 1991, served as Senate President since 2015

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – Senate President Stanley Rosenberg will lead his chamber for another term, securing re-election to his seat in the Legislature Tuesday night.

With 71% of precincts reporting, the Amherst Democrat is leading South Hadley Republican Donald Peltier with 43,652 votes or 79% to Peltier’s 11,281 votes or 21%.

Rosenberg was first elected to the Massachusetts Senate in 1991, and has served as its president since 2015.

The Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester District includes central and eastern Franklin County, central and northeastern Hampshire County, and the Worcester County town of Royalston.
