Police investigate pickup truck crash into Amherst bus stop shelter

Police are looking for information about the downtown Amherst collision

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are investigating a collision between a pickup truck and a bus stop shelter in Amherst on Sunday.

Mary Carey of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office said the pickup truck struck a bus stop shelter in downtown Amherst.

While the District Attorney’s Office did not mention any injuries, they said the crash is under investigation by the Amherst Police, State Police, MSP Crime Scene Services, and MSP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.

In the past, any time the the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services investigate, the accident is associated with serious personal injury.  The D.A. has not confirmed that that is the case.
