Amherst voters asked to donate on Election Day

Polling places will have boxes for food donations from 7AM to 6PM

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – On Tuesday, Amherst residents will be able to vote and help out your community all at once.

The Amherst Survival Center is asking voters to donate food when they go to cast their vote. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at any polling location in Amherst.

Amherst Town Clerk Sandra Burgess told 22News, “Cast your vote and bring a donation, and help the Survival Center out, they are always in need.”

Amherst polling places will have boxes for food donations from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Donations can also be brought to the Amherst Survival Center at 138 Sunderland Road.
