Conference in Northampton to be held about wandering Dementia patients

Experts in the field will advise police about the use of Medical Identification devices

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s a common problem that police face every day. Elderly people suffering from Dementia who wander away from their homes.

The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has scheduled a conference in Northampton on Wednesday to get a handle on what can be done.

Experts in the field will advise police about the use of Medical Identification devices and how to communicate with people who put themselves in danger when they wander away from their homes.
