Intentional bathroom fire set at Baystate Medical Center

No one was hurt

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Some frightening moments at Baystate Medical Center Saturday. A fire was intentionally set in a bathroom.

Springfield Fire Spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News at around 6 o’clock Saturday night they got a call for a fire in a 4th floor women’s bathroom. It was already out when they showed up but heavy smoke damaged the bathroom. The arson squad determined it was set intentionally.

Baystate Medical Center spokesperson Ben Craft told 22News no patients were evacuated. No one was hurt.
