RMV is reminding drivers they can renew their registration online

More than 450K registrations are expiring in November & December

BOSTON (WWLP) – With thousands of registrations expiring in November and December of this year, the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is reminding drivers that you can “Skip the Line, Go Online.”

According to a news release from the MassDOT, the Massachusetts RMV website has been improved and simplified to allow for an “efficient online renewal transaction.” Drivers will be able to use the “myRMV” feature, which gives you access to your RMV record and allows you to renew your registration.

“With over 450,000 registrations expiring over the next two months, the RMV knows how important it is to provide customers with as many convenient renewal options as possible,” said Registrar Erin Deveney.  “Customers who renew their registrations online at MassRMV.com will see that our website allows customers to renew at their convenience from their smart-phone, laptop or tablet.”

You can renew your registrations up to 6 months in advance, according to MassDOT, and don’t have to wait for a renewal application.

On MassRMV.com you can:

  • Process over 25 transactions
  • Access checklists to “Get Ready to Go”
  • Sign-up to receive RMV News
