HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts Department of Transportation said the bridge over the Fort River on Bay Road in Hadley will not be fixed before winter.
The project was scheduled to be finished this spring, until inspectors found the damage was more extensive than they thought. The deadline was then pushed back to this fall.
MassDOT spokeswoman, Jaquline Goddard, says the project is in the procurement phase, and work is expected to begin this spring depending on weather. Cars over 3 tons cannot cross the bridge.
