Springfield police dog used to look for armed robbery suspects

No one was hurt during the robbery but a gun was allegedly shown

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police dogs are trying to track the suspects behind an armed robbery Tuesday morning.

Springfield Police Lieutenant Richard LaBelle told 22News a call for a robbery at the 7-Eleven on Springfield Street came in around 2:40 a.m.

Lt. LaBelle said at least one suspect allegedly pointed a gun, but as many five people may have been involved in the robbery.

No one was hurt, but the suspects were able to get away.

Lt. LaBelle said a police dog is now being used to try and track down a suspect.
