NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – November 1 is the unofficial start of holiday shopping, and some stores have already been preparing.
Before you know it, the hustle and bustle of the shopping season will be upon us, and the competition between stores and online retailers increase every year. Because of that, many stores are proactive in their approach; trying to get you to make early shopping and decorating a priority.
One woman told 22News she’s way ahead of the game; “I have purchased gifts for my eight grandchildren, for my four sons and their wives, for my partner, for my friends. They are all wrapped and they are hidden in the house.”
Others are waiting until Black Friday or Cyber Monday to get started. Consumer advocates say that if you are going to shop early, just make sure you save those receipts.
