Funeral arrangements announced for girl killed in Plainfield

SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass. (WWLP) – Funeral arrangements have been made for a 9-year-old girl who was killed by a school bus last week.

Calling hours for Summer Steele will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in Shelburne Falls. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Church in Shelburne Falls.

Summer was killed while getting off her school bus in Plainfield on Friday. She was a student at Sanderson Academy in Ashfield.
