Restaurant Week starts in Northampton

Week-long event designed to bring attention to locally-owned restaurants in Northampton

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – About a dozen restaurants are participating in the seven-day event which celebrates the local cuisines and businesses. The event is coordinated by the Downtown Northampton Association.

This year, each of the participating restaurants is featuring creative menus and specials priced at $28 and under. “We’ve done a special three-course prix fixe menu with three choices in each section,” Caroline McDaniel, the owner of participating restaurant ConVino explained. “It’s a really good value. Appetizer, entree, desert and then also we have wine pairings for each of the items on there.”

Restaurant Week started on Monday and goes until November 6th.  If you go have one of these meals and use the hashtag #DineOutDowntown, you can also have a daily chance to wine a $50 Northampton Gift Card honored at 60 local shops.

Hotel Northampton, Fitzwilliy’s, Northampton Brewery and Eastside Grill are a few of the restaurants participating. You can find full a list including their menus and deals on the Restaurant Week website.
