Man wounded in Holyoke shooting

Police said incident took place during a drug deal

SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A 21 year-old man from Springfield was wounded during a shooting in Holyoke, which police say took place during a drug sale.

According to Southampton Police Lt. Ian Illingsworth, officers received a call from Springfield police at around 3:00 Monday morning, that a man was at Baystate Medical Center after being shot in Southampton. It was later discovered, after an investigation, that the shooting happened in Holyoke.
