FBI Director James Comey under fire

Both Democrats and Republicans are demanding more information from FBI Director James Comey following last week's revelation that of newly discovered emails tied to Hillary Clinton investigation.

(NBC News) Democrats are demanding FBI Director James Comey provide details on whether newly-discovered emails are actually new, contain classified information or whether they’re duplicates for which Hillary Clinton has already been cleared after comey announced their discovery last week.

“We’re calling on Mr. Comey to come forward and explain what’s at issue here,” says Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

Republicans are also asking for more information.

“He has a duty to move forward professionally and in a timely way on this,” says Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid suggests Comey may have violated the “Hatch Act” by revealing vague new information just days before an election.

Clinton avoided the issue while campaigning in Florida Sunday, but Donald Trump suggested, without proof, that the FBI may have discovered thousands of missing Clinton emails.

“I think that’s called the mother lode. I think they found them all,” Trump said.
