Man arrested in connection to Amherst home invasion pleaded not guilty

He is being arraigned on one charge of armed robbery.

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – The man arrested in connection with a suspected home invasion armed robbery early Sunday morning was arraigned on Monday.

Spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office Mary Carey told 22News 25-year-old Patrick Bemben of Hadley pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Eastern Hampshire Court. She said the judge found Bemben dangerous and order him to be held without bail, which was requested by the prosecutor.

Bemben was being arraigned on one charge of armed robbery, said Carey. The incident happened on South East Street in Amherst, and the victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he was treated for arm lacerations.

Bemben’s next court date is on November 25th.
