She had apparently lost her way after sundown while walking her dog

ERVING, Mass. (WWLP) – Searchers rescued a lost hiker in eastern Franklin County Sunday night.

State Trooper Paul Sullivan told 22News that a woman called 9-1-1 this afternoon to tell police she couldn’t find her way out of the woods in Erving.

Wendell Fire took the lead in the search, and, with Erving Fire Department workers, found the lost hiker at about seven tonight near Arch Street and a bridge over the Millers River.

She had apparently lost her way after sundown while walking her dog.
