SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Governor Charlie Baker came to Springfield Sunday to campaign for Republican state senate candidate James “Chip” Harrington.
The governor and the senate candidate watched the Patriots game together and greeted supporters during a rally at the Nathan Bill’s restaurant in Springfield’s East Forest Park neighborhood.
While the governor was impressed with the numbers of early voters across Massachusetts, he’ll wait until Election Day to cast his ballot.
Gov. Baker told 22News, “I’m one of those people who’s going to vote on Election Day. Probably because I’m old school. I just want to see the whole story. Everything that plays out between now and Election Day.”
In addition to campaigning for Republican candidates such as James “Chip Harrington across the commonwealth, the governor’s been outspoken on some of the ballot questions as well.
