Deputy Dupre told 22News, the money will buy equipment that could save the lives of firefighters. “We’re looking at a couple of hydrogen cyanide detectors. Some fires produce cyanide that we truly can’t detect right now.”

The Cyanide fumes from such fires can endanger firefighter’s lives when it goes undetected.
