HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Some Holyoke Ghosts and Goblins got an early start to Halloween. The Holyoke parks and recreation department treated the children to the annual pre-Halloween festivities at Heritage state park.
For some families don’t plan on taking their children treat or treating Halloween night, this event was the perfect alternative.
Rebecca Mularski, a Holyoke parent, told 22News, “Considering that trick or treating is not a big part of the neighborhood it’s nice to get the kid’s out and get them to do something worthwhile have fun.”
The parks and recreation department will follow up Saturday’s party with Monday’s annual all day trick or treating at city hall. A party appropriately called “Halloweened”.
