A haunted house for kids at Springfield’s South End Halloween party

They look forward to making this annual event

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Dozens of kids came out for the first ever South End Halloween party. The South End C3 initiative, turned their Main street office into a haunted house destination for kids of all ages.

police-south-end-kids-party-2The haunted experience included ghost, goblins, and skeletons and what’s a Halloween party without candy, which there was plenty of. Kids played games, received prizes and enjoyed time hanging out with friends.

Arianna Hernandez, of Springfield told 22News, “I’m really excited because you can be with your friends having a fun time doing activities and everything.”

Katrina Thomas, South end resident mentioned, “I think we’re trying to build a trust between the two communities. C3 program and policing. We just want that neighborhood feel back in Springfield.”

More than 80 kids were expected to attend. Organizers told 22News, they look forward to making this annual event.
