Springfield Police: Over 40 bags of “Crazy” heroin seized

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police allegedly seized 47 bags of heroin with the logo “Crazy” stamped on them following the arrest of a target of an investigation.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney told 22News officers were investigating 122 Cedar Street where heroin was being sold from. Officers saw the target of their investigation in a drug transaction Wednesday, and applied for a search warrant.

A raid team assembled around 8:50 p.m. and the target of their investigation, Carmello Badillo, 53, of 122 Cedar Street in Springfield, was arrested, said Delaney.

Detectives seized 47 bags of heroin with the logo “Crazy” stamped on them, as well as cocaine packaged for sale, $698, and a large quantity of drug paraphernalia and packaging material, said Delaney.

Badillo is charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, and distribution of heroin. Badillo will be arraigned on Thursday in Springfield District Court, said Delaney.
