SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A western Massachusetts non-profit with a mission to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste, thanked the people who make it work Thursday night. We’re talking about the volunteers.
Rachel’s Table held their annual volunteer appreciation celebration in Springfield tonight.
For almost 25 years, hundreds of volunteers have been collecting food from supermarkets, restaurants and caterers, and delivering it to food pantries, soup kitchens and hunger-fighting agencies.
