HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Holyoke Wednesday night.
Holyoke Police Sgt. David S. Usher told 22News officers and the fire department were called to the intersection of Hampden and Pleasant Street just after 11 p.m.
He said that’s where a woman wearing dark clothing had been hit by a vehicle.
The pedestrian is expected to be OK after being treated for minor injuries that Sgt. Usher described as scratches to the head.
She was taken to Baystate Medical Center for evaluation.
While the incident is being investigated, Sgt. Usher could not release details on the driver.
However, he did say the incident is not being called a “hit-and-run.”
No charges have been filed at this time.
