AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s a way to help those struggling with cancer here in western Massachusetts. Dr. Jay Burton is a cancer survivor, who treated his own Myeloid Leukemia case.
Now, he’s giving back, through a non-profit he created, called “Survivor Journeys“. It’s a program with cancer specific support groups for patients and family members.
Dr. Burton said, “I want to be able to help cancer survivors try to navigate this process, which can be daunting.”
To help raise money for his program, he’s hosting a Halloween gala fundraiser Friday night at 6 at Chez Joseph.
