NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A local artist is giving back to the community

All proceeds from October sales of Eric Reeve’s “wood turnings” will be donated to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. A reception on Wednesday showcased the artist’s intricate piece at the Don Muller Gallery in Northampton.

Reeves along with Congressmen Jim McGovern spoke about the importance of supporting the food banks mission to feed neighbors in need. McGovern said, “We have a lot of people in our community who are hungry and every dollar that is raised helps put a meal on the table for someone who is in need.”

Reeve’s pieces retail for anywhere between $30 and $100, which Reeves’ told 22News can go a long way with the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Every dollar raised provides three meals.
