Early voting ballot shortage at Springfield library

About 700 people voted at the library on Tuesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Local residents are taking advantage of early voting, so much so that one polling location ran out of ballots on Tuesday.

Voters in Springfield could cast their votes early at the Sixteen Acres Branch Library from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. At around 3:00 p.m., one voter told 22News he saw a line out the door when he arrived.

Branch Library manager, Reggie Wilson said they ran out of ballots at around 4:00 p.m. He said about 700 people participated in early voting at the library Tuesday.
