Man killed in Southwick car crash identified

The other driver suffered only minor injuries

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – Police have identified the man who was killed on Saturday afternoon in a car accident in Southwick.

The Hampden County District Attorney’s office said 26-year-old Joshua Palazzi of Granville veered into on-coming traffic on Route 57 near Powder Mill School around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Palazzi died at the crash site.

The driver of the truck Palazzi struck suffered only minor injuries.

This is an on-going investigation; Massachusetts State Police Reconstruction Team is looking into what caused the crash.

In August, 22News reported about Palazzi being arrested by Southwick Police for allegedly being in possession of heroin. He was was arrested along with a 51-year-old man from Connecticut.
