DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Stillwater Bridge in Deerfield will close for emergency repairs, and it could be months before the work is finished.
The bridge had failed inspection, and was ordered to shut down.
According to Deerfield Police, the closure will likely affect school buses, emergency response drivers, and local farms. It’s not clear when the bridge will re-open, but Deerfield Police did say the repairs could take months.
Deerfield Police also said the town is doing everything it can to get the bridge back open sooner.
