CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Police were investigating a multi-vehicle crash on Montgomery Street, Monday night, in the Aldenville section of the city.
A police dispatcher said the accident took place in the vicinity of 62 Montgomery Street, some time before 8:00 p.m. Monday.
When 22News arrived at the crash site, the truck ended up on its roof on Wells Avenue, a dead end street, and the airbags had deployed in the car, which sustained significant front end damage.
A child was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but Chicopee Police Capt. Jeff Gawron told 22News none of the injuries associated with this accident were considered serious.
He said traffic was getting by on one side on Montgomery Street, and the other side was closed from the Pride Station to Jennings Street while police investigated and cleared the crash site. The street was closed for about two hours.
