NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called to Northampton, Monday night, to help investigate a rollover crash on Interstate 91, between exits 18 and 19.
State Police Trooper Paul Sullivan told 22News two cars collided around 6:20 p.m. Monday on I-91 northbound in Northampton. One of the cars ended up in the median.
One of the drivers was thrown from the car and rushed to Cooley Dickinson Hospital with serious injuries. Trooper Sullivan said the driver is expected to survive, and the other driver was not hurt.
State Police had closed all northbound lanes while they investigated the crash, which cashed heavy traffic. Cars were being squeezed over to the breakdown lane, but after the cars were removed, all lanes were re-opened.
