One person shot in Springfield’s Bay neighborhood

The victim was rushed to Baystate Medical Center.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – At least one person has been shot in the city’s Bay neighborhood.

Springfield Police Lt. Mark Rolland told 22News the city’s shot spotter activation system recorded 10 gunshots, but callers reported as many as 17 shots fired in the area of Kenyon Street.

A victim was found at 31 Acorn Street. It happened at about 9:15 Saturday night.

The victim was rushed to Baystate Medical Center.
