SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass (WWLP) – Right now is peak season for fall foliage in Franklin County and business is booming. Tourists from around the country and all over the world are driving through to see the leaves.
Many of them are heading to Shelburne Falls to see the Bridge Flowers, which is in a good location to see the foliage. Nearby businesses are seeing a significant rise in customers and earning more money.
Michaelangelo Wescostt, owner of Gypsy Apple Bistro in Shelburne Falls, said “This has actually been one of the busiest falls to date in the 10 years being here. We have a small restaurant so we try to do as many as we can especially during this time of the year.”
Westcott said many of his customers this time of year come up just to see the foliage. Many of them are returning customers.
Peak fall foliage season is expected to last at least for another week in Franklin County.
