MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – So many of us use credit cards now a days, we may not look at cash as closely as we should. Just a few days ago, a cashier at a store in Monson accepted a fake $20 bill.

The bill was clearly marked, “For motion picture use only.” A closer look revealed a distorted nose on President Andrew Jackson’s picture and misshapen picture of the White House on the back.

22News spoke with Monson residents like Missy Douty, who said people just don’t look at money anymore. ” they don’t because we don’t use it if you don’t use cash.”

Monson Police Chief Stephen Kozloski told 22News that he’s not even sure the person who passed the Hollywood-style money knew they were doing anything wrong.
