(CNN) – Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps led hundreds of people on a two-mile run along the Charles River esplanade in Boston Tuesday morning. The run was part of Forbes magazine’s “30 under 30” summit.
The 23-time gold medalist said he was impressed with the turnout. Phelps noted, “It was good, kinda crazy. I never really ran in a race before with that many people, so it was kind of hard to not run over people or get tripped but it was good. It was awesome to have all the support out here. A lot of excitement. Selfies were going crazy.”
The summit, which began Sunday, honors 600 innovators under the age of 30 in a variety of categories.
