RUSSIA (WWLP) – On Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed U.S. hacking allegations against Russia as campaign rhetoric.

Putin shrugged off new U.S. threats to retaliate against alleged Russian hackers.

The U.S. government has accused Russia of waging cyber-attacks against Democratic Party offices.

Putin said that Russia does not “intend to influence the U.S. election campaign.”

He added that he hoped ties between the U.S. and Russia could improve after the November elections.
