Bigda received a suspension after videos show him threatening to kill and plant evidence on a teenager

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Department of Justice and the state attorney General will review video of a Springfield detective allegedly threatening two suspects.

Detective Gregg Bigda received a 60-day suspension after videos shot at the Palmer Police station in February reportedly show him threatening to kill and plant drug evidence on a teenager accused of stealing an undercover cop car.

City Solicitor Ed Pikula released a statement that reads, in part: “[Our] office will continue to work with law enforcement, to provide information without interfering with any investigation.”
