EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Saturday was an eagerly awaited day for those of us here in Western Massachusetts who love the taste of Greek Food.

The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Luke’s In East Longmeadow puts on its display of Greek cooking for their 3 day annual event at the church social hall. The men and women in the kitchen are the real heroes as they attract a loyal following of Greek-Americans and non-Greeks alike.

Kenia Robinson of East Longmeadow is a native of Panama who has learned to love Greek food.

“We have been coming for several years and even though I’m not Greek I really enjoy the food and the people are very nice. I love the Baklava!”

St Luke’s church will turn off the ovens at 9pm Saturday, but then will start serving its Taste of Greece feast again Sunday from 11 in the morning until 4pm.

The church is located 400 Prospect Street in East Longmeadow.
