New 2017 car models are beginning to hit dealership lots, and bringing a new wave of technology along with them.

(NBC News) High tech brains are driving some of the new cars coming out this season, helping drivers stay safe and drive smart on the roads.

Some new models boast cameras and sensors for blind spot warnings, forward collision alerts and even automatic brakes.

“The car is both aware that there’s an object and its got the ability to apply brakes if driver doesn’t apply brakes in time,” said Kelly Blue Book’s Karl Brauer.

From in-car vacuums to smart phone parking, car owners are in for a whole host of new technology that is helping to drive them into the future.
