EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WWLP) – The FBI has taken the lead in the investigation into a deadly plane crash in a busy area of East Hartford, Connecticut Tuesday afternoon. The small plane crashed on Main Street, right near Pratt & Whitney, a major aircraft engine manufacturer that works on civilian and defense projects.
During the news conference, East Hartford Police Lt. Josh Litwin said that he could not speak to reports that the crash survivor said the accident was actually intentional. He said that the FBI is leading the investigation due to the nature of the location where the crash happened, but that “no circumstances are being ruled out” at this time.
